Offshore Drilling Experience

Deepwater drilling operations using a dynamic positioned drillship in water depths of 5000 feet plus was record breaking in August 1979. Further shallow offshore drilling was achieved in the South Pacific using a barge mounted drilling rig stationed onto the outer reef systems.

Extreme deep water drilling in over 10000 feet (3000m) seawater depth requires a specialists attention as normal well control techniques no longer apply.
